This research aims to analyze the tilework motifs of the Seyyed Rokn al-Din Mausoleum in Yazd and to investigate the feasibility of their application in textile and apparel design using Artificial Intelligence. Following a field and visual analysis of the structure’s geometric and floral motifs, the patterns were developed using AI tools and conceptualized into suitable designs for clothing. The statistical sample consisted of 55 apparel designers from Yazd, with the highest frequency in the 20-30 age group and holding bachelor’s degrees. Sixty percent of the participants had an academic background in design-related fields. The results of a questionnaire indicated that approximately 70% of respondents agreed with most of the designs, signifying overall satisfaction with the aesthetics and the preservation of a connection to traditional motifs. Furthermore, an evaluation by a group of ten loyal boutique clients showed a strong preference for traditional designs, satisfaction with the jacket models, a positive reception for the scarf design, and a willingness to purchase the evening wear. Ultimately, the findings revealed that traditional motifs, extracted and redesigned with AI, can be effectively incorporated into womenswear design in the near future.
