English

3D printer or additive manufacturing is a well-known technology that is used in various fields to create 3D objects by placing successive layers of different materials. 3D printer applications in the fashion industry are noticed by consumers due to the production of unique products. However, there is a gap in previous research that examines the use of hard materials such as polylactic acid in the fashion context. This research is the first successful attempt at 3D printing for biodegradable waste-free clothing, which is made using computer modeling and 3D printing technology. Its design was modeled, evaluated and produced by the inspiration of Alaviyan dome. Life-sized modular clothing pieces were produced through 3D printing. Using this garment as a prototype, consumer acceptance of 3D printed garments will be assessed through an online survey of 235 respondents. The research tool is a researcher-made questionnaire, the validity of which has been confirmed by three professors of the university. The software used is spss. The collected data show that there is a significant difference in preventing clothing damage to the environment between different educational groups in terms of academic field. Industrial engineering, textile engineering and clothing design have a significant difference with polymer engineering students, and with a higher average, they believe in preventing clothing damage to the environment. Also, there is a significant difference in the desire to wear clothes designed by 3D printers between different educational groups in terms of academic field. Textile engineering and clothing design are significantly different from students of polymer engineering, industries and mechanics, and with a higher average, they tend to wear clothes designed by 3D printers. Also, there is a significant difference in the amount of knowledge about 3D printers between different study groups in terms of study field. Textile engineering and polymer engineering and clothing design have a significant difference with industrial and mechanical students, and with a higher average, they have more information about 3D printers in the fashion industry, respectively. Finally, the age group of less than 20 years and the age group of 21 to 30 years with a higher average than other age groups, respectively, are more inclined to wear clothes designed by 3D printers.
