Polyester fiber, the most-used synthetic fiber worldwide, is of great importance. In this paper, the capacity of upstream unit operation of polyester fiber in Iran is reviewed. The variations in the development, properties, and applications of polyester fibers are discussed. Finally, some of the features of Polyacryl Isfahan Co. for production of various types of polyester fibers and yarns are highlighted.
