Abstract
In this research, synthesis of a disperse dye based on thiazol derivatives and investigation of its dyeing properties on polyester fibres has been reported. For this purpose, 2-amino-6-nithrobenzothiazol was diazotized and coupled with 3-N,N-diethylamino acetanilide in acidic media. The synthesized dye was purified by TLC method and characterized by analytical instruments such as FTIR, 1HNMR, DSC and UV-Vis techniques. The spectrophotometric and antibacterial properties of obtained dye were examined. Results showed that the synthesized dye has antimicrobial property against both staphyloccus and Escherichia coli. Dispersion of the synthesized dye was prepared and utilized on polyester fibres and finally its dyeing properties were estimated. Results showed that the synthesized dye besides having good leveling and build-up on polyester fibres, had excellent wash, rubbing, perspiration fastness and medium light, sublimation fastness on this fibres.
