Using Phase Change Materials (PCM) in latent heat storage systems is an effective way to saving energy. PCMs save the thermal energy in the form of latent heat during the melting process and release this energy during freezing process. Nowadays, using PCMs in textiles improves their heating and cooling characteristics. There are several methods for this purpose such as coating, lamination and encapsulation. One of the newest approaches in PCM science is utilization of nanofiber technology to shape stabilization of these materials. In this paper, different kinds of PCMs and their application in textiles were introduced.
